Kathy Bates is the bravest woman in the world.

I'm watching "About Schmidt" on STARZ.
It's a good flick, funny and moving too.
And at age 54, Bates does a nude scene in a hot tub with Jack Nicholson.
She was never a hottie.
She's sure no pin-up queen.
It took incredible guts and chutzpah to strip in front of a camera and a host of people behind the cameras.
She's one of my favorite actors.
What a lady!

4. Love that movie...

...Bates was certainly a high point, as was the bickering between her and her ex-husband, played by Howard "Dr. Johnny Fever WKRP In Cincinnati" Hesseman.

Same guy behind this was responsible for "Sideways."

Both quirky, intriguing looks at life from the viewpoint of the "damaged" survivors of the world, rather than the "beautiful people."

In this film Kathy Bates does a naked dance! She is the wife of a fundamentalist missionary in the jungles of South America who goes berserk at the end of the film. This is an amazing film, and Kathy Bates fans should check it out.
