Skin care advice? (question from a middle-aged guy)
So, bags under they eyes. Mine have begun to get really hideous.

I'm height/weight appropriate, exercise, use sun-block, get plenty of sleep, plenty of water, don't smoke, and always moisturize after a shower.

I always figured that was enough to age gracefully.

But the under-eye bags have turned from carry-ons to four-piece luggage sets.

I'm not super-vain, and don't have a fear of aging, but they have become, quite frankly, ugly and distracting.

I've tried cucumber slices on the eyes, and mud masks, neither really seemed to help.

So I'm just going to hang it out there, silly as it sounds, and ask for advice/suggestions.

TY in advance.

1. surgery?. teasin...
i dont have that issue, but as we age, we all have our own. we focus and intensify this part we are not liking until it is too much.

embrace it. be thrilled you are healthy, getting sleep and all the other stuff you are not experiencing with age that others are

focus on the positive

really

i have never looked at a person and said, damn, those bags...

but i really dont pay a lot of attention to looks when interacting with a person

2. Sleep and Claratin.
Well, definitely, sleep helps. So does eating one's veggies, and avoiding salt and caffiene. But, one thing that causes bags under the eyes is allergies. If you have allergies, treating them will go a long way to help with the eye bags. Also, make sure you don't have a thyroid problem or other hormonal issues...

Meanwhile, try one of these:

Chill it, and use it for about 20 minutes a day, and in a couple of weeks, hopefully, your bags will be reduced some, especially if you are getting enough sleep and veggies.

3. I've seen those in the drug store, I'll try it. (and while I don't over-eat, I don't do as well...
on the veggies and fruits as I should)

TY for the tip.

4. Sounds genetic... you will most likely need to see a dermatologist (IMHO).
BTW... it doesn't sound silly.

We all have some 'defects' that are irritating despite the fact that we don't mind signs of aging.

5. try this product
http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_products/product.aspx?tpcode=OUR_PRODUCTS

Roll away under-eye puffiness and dark circles for brighter, more radiant eyes.

While you sleep circulation slows down and causes fluid to collect in your lower eye area. Dark circles and puffiness appear. Skin Renew anti-puff eye roller is right for you if you gently want to stimulate micro-circulation around skin's delicate eye area to decongest excess fluid for diminished dark circles and puffiness.

6. May be at least partially genetic.
My uncle had those in his 50s and so does his daughter, now in her 50s.
