Food advice for a soldier in Afghanistan
My nephew is going back to Afghanistan, his second deployment there... He would like us to send food, but the type of food he wants seems impossible to transport there. He's asking for Mexican food, particularly tacos, and Italian food, i.e. "good pizza," pasta, etc.

The guy is going with a bomb-sniffing dog. I dearly want to spoil him so he can enjoy himself on break. Does anybody have any idea how I could pull it off? I've been doing internet searches but can't find anything that looks durable and edible.

I'd love to hear from any of you who have been there or relatives/friends who have found ways to get good food to soldiers on the front. Thanks in advance.
