Do you recognize this man?

In 1985, I wrote an angsty letter to a famous person in which I said that I trusted he would write me back. A short while later, I received a postcard picture of him with one question scrawled in green crayon, "Why do you trust me?"

I drew this picture a short while later, with the question in his copied handwriting.

Later, in college, I gave the picture to a friend who had admired it. Tonight, he was going through some old stuff, found it and posted it on fb.

When I saw it, I didn't recognize it right away, but I thought that it looked like my style. Then I clicked on it and read his comment and it all came back to me.

Anyway, I thought I'd just drop in here for fun and see if anyone can recognize or guess who's the subject of this drawing.

7. interesting.
The first few times I looked at this, I didn't see a man at all - or anyone human.

After your response, I scrolled back up, and it jumped out at me. Left side of the face of Morrisey. Purty cool.

for the Band The Smiths. Big in the early 1980s. Really good music to slit your wrists by. :)

17. Lebon?
Funny, I was a huge Smiths fan in high school and my best friend was a huge Duran Duran fan. I gave her a lot of crap for that.
