MFM back in the hospital

Hi everybody,

I've got one more day of intensive stuff to do then will be back checking in better, but I had a call from MFM this morning and he wanted me to let you know he was back for a couple of days for a "tune-up"

I will PM his room number to Peggy for any further follow up until I talk to him myself tomorrow. He is OK but kind of collapsed the other day and may have had a tiny minor heart attack - they don't really know for sure yet as the blood readings were kind of inconclusive. He seemed ok but was worried people wouldn't know where he went.

11. **I just got off the phone with MFM**

He sounds just great: no coughing, no shortness of breath, great sense of humor, like that!

He said the doctors still don't know just what happened. Monday he was heading for his PT session at the hospital, when suddenly his legs got weak and he didn't have time to sit down on his walker. But his walker helped him sit down in a controlled way, so he didn't fall. He was immediately taken to the ER where they began his evaluation.

The labs and tests are so far inconclusive, so there will probably be more of them till his doctors figure out what's what.

He's very comfortable, no chest pain or anything else, thank goodness!

He expects to get out of there soon, but time will tell on that one.

He wanted me to remind all of you that he is (in his own words, lol) FUCKING immortal!

I hope his health issues get resolved once and for all. This "revolving door" thing with hospitals and doctor's offices just raises the stress level and slows healing. To MFM's credit, he's faced these challenges with courage, optimism, and humor...but I hope there's a L-O-N-G stretch ahead where his health is issue-free and he can simply devote 100% of his time to being an effin' smartass.

I talked to him again yesterday, and he said they think it might have been because one of his meds got dropped somewhere in the shuffle of all the back and forth lately. He was going to have a couple of more tests and was actually hoping they would release him today as the hospital slows down so much on weekends it was almost a waste of time for him to stay over then.

He was all happy about 24 hour cxafeteria service and giggling something about teetee beebees, whatever that means...:evilgrin: (I think it might actually be teetee esbees)

oh god I hope these don't get long again

just talked to MFM - he ended up having another little surgery. they implanted a little defibrillator in case what happened was a ventricular episode (more serious than atrial). He was still in good spirits and we made a number of jokes related to the possibilities of an implanted shocking device and remote controls/garage openers. hold my beer, watch this!:rofl:

he will tell you all more about it tomorrow or Monday, hopefully. that is the latest word.
