2. Yep - Cool. And ironic.
I remember being warned that Black Sabbath, BOC, Pink Floyd etc. was Satan's music.

Now Crazy Train is a family song for the car and played at high school football games.

3. I shit you not,
the church I went to not only said those bands were satanic, they said ALL rock music was satanic (even if the lyrics were christian oriented) BECAUSE:

"Rock music is based on African drum beats used by tribal priests/shamans to help hypnotize their followers so they could invite demons to inhabit their bodies".

My youth pastor hated Dixie-land Jazz because black people played it.

We were allowed to listen to a little bit of country music but not Charley Pride.

THAT is how motherfucking racist the church I grew up in was.

Independent, Fundamental, Bible believing Baptist right there for ya.

Fuck those assholes.

Yes, I mad.

Oh, lol, and that Juice Newton song "Just Call Me Angel of the Morning" was thinly veiled satanism because there is some passage in the bible (The King James Version and ONLY the King James Version goddammit) that refers to Lucifer as the Angel of the Morning.

5. Fortunately I grew up in a Unitarian household
My dad was an ordained Unitarian minister. All the racist religious shit didn't fly at our house.

Most organized religion is about telling people what to think. That's a pretty dangerous road to go down when people start pretending to know what god wants you to think. I have no use for any of it.

becomes a way to sell rug rat buggies to yuppies.

Makes me want to bite the head off of a Tickle Me Elmo™ doll.
