1. I like George, but I don't see him as MacBeth. |

I guess the question is will he be doing MacBeth or will he be doing George Clooney in MacBeth clothes?
Will he put on an accent? Can he? lol
But I like him enough that I would take a look at it just to see what's up.

3. Right, I can't see him putting on an accent. |
|
I would take a look, too, but I fear it would be like Kevin Costner's Robin Hood.

4. Well, it has to be better than Keanu Reeves' Hamlet |
|
In the words of a Toronto reviwer: "Mr. Reeves said all the words in the correct order."

5. I think he'd be GREAT. |
|
He has considerable range...
He's a better actor than Mel Gibson, and Mel did a very creditable Hamlet...

7. The drama centers around the idea that women can convince you to do anything. |
|
Maybe should go Charlie Sheen.

Someone pointed out that for years, the Macbeths were portrayed by menopausal women & geriatric men. The play really makes little sense if your main characters are too old to be ambitious.
Someone reviewing Roman Polanski's "Macbeth" expressed satisfaction on two counts; first, for having a sexy, attractive Lady Macbeth in Francesca Annis, someone you could believe would be able to seduce a man into murder; second, for casting two younger actors for the main roles, so that one could believe their greed and lust for upward mobility.
George Clooney is an enormously appealing actor, and even a straight guy like me can see that he is very, very handsome. But age-wise, he's past the part. I'm sure he'll do well, though.

10. I'm with you. So he's actually doing it? He's way too ironic. |
|
Macbeth was anything but.
