What's the largest number of cats you've slept with at one time. |
|
Actually the cats come and go as they please.

2. Two and I couldn't move |
|
I let the roommate's cat sleep on my bed one night and I couldn't move. One cat was snuggled on my right side, the other on the left. I hated it, so now it's just my own cat who gets to sleep on my bed at night because she usually just sleeps at one of the four corners.

3. four. two at the feet, one on my side, one pushing my head off my pillow. |
|
It was a cold night, and I was the first one to go to bed. After everyone else did, they spread out, but dang, I couldn't move for an hour or so.

Two cats are enough to completely pin you in if you have a spouse or significant other in bed as well. I often have my spouse on my left, one cat on my right side, and the other cat to the right of my feet and legs. Completely trapped!

10. two cats are enough to pin you in when sleeping alone too! |
|
I had one cat curled up against the right side of the chest and the other was on my left down by my legs and I was stuck, haha! I roll around alot when I sleep, so I need room. My own cat has figured this out, so she usually sticks to the corners of the bed. However, my roommmate's cat is a cuddlebug and she curled right up against me and I think that confused my cat so she decided to sleep next to me as well.
That was the last time I let that happen, lol! Now the roommate's cat is ejected from the room right before I go to bed.

One by my feet, one in my face, one on the pillow. I am down to one cat now. There might as well be three, because she stretches herself right across the middle of my queen size bed. I get shoved into a corner

One favored lying between the knees. The other favored moving to the pillow after we were asleep. I would occasionally awake with a cat curled around my head, purring, with a pair of green eyes staring at me lovingly.

15. Six ........ without knowing it. |
|
Someone dropped off a box of tiny, extremely! wild kittens at my door. They hissed, and spit, and scratched me up ... eventually escaping to all areas of my house as I tried unsuccessfully to move them to a clean, bigger box. It took me hours to catch them again. My arms looked like I'd been in a knife fight. Except for one ... a fluffy little female who for some reason purred and snuggled up to my neck when I held her. She figured out a way to get out of the box-home I thought I'd remade to be inescapable. But it was fine, she basically followed me around and was playful and sweet. The others tried to get out, but couldn't.
Anyhoo, I put her back in with the rest for the night, and went to bed. About 3 in the morning, I woke up with a heavy feeling on my stomach and a warm weight around my neck. I tried to sit up, and heard more hissing ... once my eyes had focused I saw 5 little tigers poised on my stomach ready to scratch my face off ... and Fluffy, who'd been cuddled around my neck. While the rest scattered, Fluffy stayed, still purring. She had taught the rest how to get out of the box and brought them to me. It was the strangest thing. I felt a bit used.
Loved those kittens! They were adorable, and went to good homes.

24. A mental health psychologist/ social worker said in a training session... |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-15-11 10:44 AM by UTUSN
She was conducting a training regarding performing mental health assessments for potential court-ordered treatment.
She went through a sample questionnaire checklist and discussed several profiles of likely clients. Toward the end, she said, only halfway joking, "If you walk into a house that has ten cats or more, just throw away the assessment tool and call the deputies!1"

They don't all pile on at night when my husband takes up room....They tend to platoon snooze. However, if I sneak upstairs for a nap during the day, I am often treated to a three-cat cuddle.

27. A cat is a small animal. Just a little guy, maybe about 10-12 lbs. |
|
Some are bigger, but they really are not very big creatures. I don't understand why having a few of them on your bed could make even the slightest difference.

33. It isn't the velvet part of the paw that's the problem. |
|
It's the pointy parts.
The weird truth is that a cat on a bed magically assumes the approximate size and mass of a water buffalo. With pointy paws.

Yeah, we had a lot of kitties.
Now, three is max because that's all we've got. :)
