It had been seized from a drug raid. The asst chief of police was using it for a while, but someone complained, so he had them paint it black and white, put rollers on top, and they used it for a patrol car.

They were shorter and faster than the Javelin.
Looks like that car has a 40X(?) engine per the text near the front bumper.

Ford only intended the LX coupe with the 5.0 for police service - it's lighter than the hatchback. Guy I know built a hillclimb car from an ex-ASP Mustang - it was bad fast!

They use them for catching speeders, mainly.
The SC State Patrol uses Camaros. I think they may also use Mustangs. I see them occasionally on I-20.
