Need a big favor from my DU friends who use FACEBOOK
Edited on Sun Oct-16-11 02:44 AM by AsahinaKimi
I have had a group on IMVU since 2007. It has come to my attention that someone on face book is currently using my groups logo for their own. This is our logo:

created in 2007 by Delanncy Designs of Japan.

I would like to request that anyone on DU who has a face book page, to go to this address:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/J-POP-Lovers/127750607254534

And post a message on their wall: You are currently using a logo that does not belong to you. The logo is the property of the Ichiban Jpop club which was created and has been using this logo since 2007.You may use your own wording as well.

Also if you can flag their page, or the photos, post comments on the photos, please do so.

I WANTED to also post our two pages, where you can clearly see our logo being used by us:

http://avatars.imvu.com/IchibanJpopKurabu

http://www.imvu.com/groups/group/ICHIBAN%2BJPOP%2B%2528Japanese%2Bpopular%2Bmusic%2529%2BCLUB/

Also if you have a twitter account, and can post a short message there, please do also. I would like to bury this guy in a ton of messages. I want him to know, he just can't just use our logo without permission.

I thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart, for helping me in anyway you can on this matter.

Hugs
Kimiko Asahaina

1. Does this mean I have to "like" them first?
Oh well, the lady axed. The gentleman complies.

2. Thank you very very much!
I guess you can just post a message on one of the postings, or on the photograph of the logo itself. As for liking them.. :grr: not me!

3. Facebook rules for copyright infringement...
On the lower left hand of the page in question, click on the "Report Page" button and the following information is shown on a new page. I don't know if you have tried this or not, but it seem like this might be the best way to settle your dispute. Good luck.

How to Report Claims of Intellectual Property Infringement
Facebook is committed to protecting the intellectual property of third parties. On this page, rights holders will find information regarding how to report copyright and other intellectual property infringements by users posting content on our website, and answers to some frequently asked questions regarding our policies.

If you are a user concerned about the removal of your content, you may file a counter-notice. You can do so through the email notification you received, or in the warning at the top of your home page.

If you are a user concerned about the security of your account, please visit our Security Help Page.

How to report claims of copyright infringement by users
To report a copyright infringement by a Facebook user, all you need to do is fill out our automated DMCA form. This form is the fastest way to report a copyright infringement. Although we will review reports in all languages, it will speed our review if you can submit your report in English.

If you prefer, you can also send a DMCA notice to our designated agent (information below).

How to report other claims of intellectual property infringement by users
If you wish to report other claims of intellectual property infringement (i.e. non-copyright) by a Facebook user, all you need to do is fill out our automated IP infringement form. We appreciate your cooperation in providing an English translation of your report, when possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after I send the report?
What should I do if a third-party application infringes my rights?
What is the contact information for your DMCA designated agent?
Can I report the infringement of someone else's intellectual property rights?
What should I do if someone is pretending to be me?

4. I would gladly do this for you, but...
...when I went to their page, I saw a "question mark" graphic where there logo would normally be.

I can;t post it on DU because I get the following error message:

...so maybe they have already complied with your request? I didn't see your graphic anywhere on their Facebook page.
