What upcoming movies do you not want to see?
This surprised me, but from what I've seen in previews so far, The Rum Diaries looks boring and predictable. And boring.

1. The Iron Lady
Granted it stars the wonderful Meryl Streep but there is nobody in the world I want to know less about than Margaret Thatcher.

3. Did you know that as a young chemist Margaret Thatcher invented soft-scoop ice cream?
Edited on Sun Oct-16-11 08:01 AM by Bucky
Oh, wait, you said you wanted to know less about her, not more about her. Hold on, what you actually said was that you wanted more to know less about anybody else in the world besides Margaret Thatcher, therefor by logical inference you in fact do want to know more about her more than anyone else in the world. Do I have that right?

2. All of them.
With the exception of going to see Fahrenheit 911 on the 4th of July in 2004, I haven't set foot in a theater since 1996. Movies are mostly crap, full of unnecessary sex, violence, and profanity, the sound is so loud its physically dangerous to the eardrums, tickets and concessions are overpriced, and the crowds are rude and annoying.

If I really want to see it, I'll wait for it to show up on tv or rent a video.

Not an easy subject matter but I've heard great things so far. It's about cults.

9. I would love to see a movie about the falling out between Freud & Jung. But yes...
It looks like they're going all Emily Bronte with it. Bleckq. Maybe the trailer is misrepresenting the focus of the movie. The trailers aren't made by the directors or even by the studios, but by separate PR firms who try to sell a movie, not tease an audience with its artistic merit.

On the other hand, I think I'm really interested in seeing a new take on Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

11. I trust Cronenberg.
The trailer looked a little mainstream, but I think David Cronenberg will treat the material well.

I watched a bunch of trailers and answered a bunch of questions and so I'll go see it because it's really about me!
