3. You know, I never noticed that before.
Not that I would have tried it. Though some Hollywood screenwriter might.

5. Nah. They'd get an expensive plane wreck and a dead stuntman. Hollywood would do what this ad agency
did: they'd use the magic of computer graphics to fake it

7. Why is it legal for them to show wild hyperbole like that?
Why not simply say that the truck gets 10,000 mpg and that it cures cancer? Why are some lies permissible (when disclaimed by fine print) while others are not?

6. From what I can find, the Nissan couldn't even keep up.
Landing speed for a 727 is about 150mph, the electronic governor on the Frontier is set at 105-110mph.

8. I don't think that vehicle can go fast enough.
Landing speeds for jet airplanes are typically about 130 mph or more. I think the result, if this was ever actually attempted, would be dramatically tragic. I bet they got the idea from this funny little video:

9. This one could (though they'd never risk it in such a stunt):

In my opinion, this is the best Car vs. Plane video ever! And no special effects ;)

10. I saw this at the airshow in Oshkosh this year
A plane landed and took off from the roof of an RV.

11. Terrific concept, but not possible.
Couldn't really happen for a number of reasons.
Truck bed/chassis wouldn't support the weight.
Although the 'approach' speed of the plane would be in the neighborhood of 150 knots, by the time the pilot eased the nose gear down he'd probably be at about 100 knots.
An inordinate amount of skill would be needed by the truck jockey to position the truck bed in precisely the exact position to 'catch' the nose gear.
And then the truck would be crushed.
:-)

Attention getting commercial, though.
And that's what they get paid for.

13. lol - that would be my thought: instant crushing of the truck, killing driver,
and probably acting as just enough garbage to make the plane flip over.
