Juggalos across the street. Very depressing and disturbing to me. |

A girl came over and looked for work. She pulled weeds for a couple of days. She did not come to work Monday or Tuesday because she was quite sick. She said the BF's mom is filthy and apparently her kitchen is a biohazard, from what this girl says.
This afternoon we went across the street to see if she was OK. she came out and talked to us and we met the boyfriend. He had an ankle tattoo that said "Juggalo family" and an insane clown posse t shirt.
I read about these people and they are extremely trashy and gross. The alleged "music" is about murder, killing, and violence. To me it sounds completely negative.
This girl has a new baby and she is bright and reads a lot; she knows she has to get out of the environment.
I guess the angry rednecks listen to negative whiny country music; the angry blacks listen to angry violent hip-hop that calls women bitches and hos.
And the really trashy white trash listens to Insane Clown Posse, all about violence and murder.
I try to stay away from negative stuff, and I refuse to listen to negative people or negative music of any kind. I fear for this girl and her daughter, since the rest of the people there boss her around and tell her to do all the housework.
I have met quite a few people out here in the country who are energy vampires to be around. They drain you because they are a negative vortex of suck. Some of them are jesus freaks. A lot of them are just mad at the world.
I put a sign on my fence that says: HATE IS NOT A FAMILY VALUE IGNORANCE & SUPERSTITiON DON'T HELP EITHER
Some girl from the local newspaper left her card on my gate (which we put up to keep out the nosy people) "hoping to write a story about the sign and wanting us to explain it".
i will not respond. that is not my job.

In a lot of circumstances, it even makes sense. With my students' demographics, I know an awful lot of Juggalos, and most of them are great kids who just happen to have a sick and cynical (though not necessarily negative) attitude, and have a twisted sense of humor. What gets me is grown men and women still identifying themselves that way. Parents. Grow up, already.
If you want to laugh your ass off for five minutes, YouTube "miracles" by ICP. "Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?" makes me laugh my butt off every time I hear it.

I haven't heard the terms "juggalo" or "Insane Clown Posse" in well over a decade.

10. Yeah, if they're asking you to explain it, watch for them to use it to make you look bad in print. |

I'm not talking.
I reduced it to a bumper sticker slogan and they still want someone else to think for them.
The people here don't know us, so they make up stuff. We do not go to church. We only go to the bank and the post office, and have to drive 20 miles to buy groceries. I don't go to the local doctor and his nickname has a clue: "Killer" Cutshaw. I've heard too many horror stories about the man's incompetence, even though he has been here since the 1960s.
