The Cult's "Electric" saved my life
Seriously

I remember taking a job at Tower Records back in the late 80s. I was all in to bad hair metal, and bad hair. This album came out, and showed me those 'femmey' New Wave bands could pack all the punch of a Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. It was from here that I went and discovered Velvet Underground and Camper Van Beethoven, in that order.

I learned, through this journey, that gays are nothing like the media paints them, and are more like you and me than they are that. I also learned that great rock music is all about attitude.

Thank You Cult

Thank You Tower Records
