Need a little help, can anyone recommend an e-mail program?

A good one that's as easy as Outlook Express to use.

1. Thunderbird is great.

Especially if you use Firefox as they're designed to work well together. The controls are fairly simple and should be intuitive to an OE user.

3. Yep, that would be my recommendation...

...especially when it comes to the "as easy to use as Outlook Express" portion of the request.

There are some pretty robust alternatives to Outlook available (the full Outlook, not Outlook Express), but unless you're willing to devote the hands-on time to configuring it to be what you want, why bother?

Thunderbird also follows the Firefox practice of add-ons/extensions...pretty much plug & play.
