I'm buzzing pleasantly on two shots of Ouzo and a pint of Irish Death. Ask me anything. |

2. I stopped with two shots. The owner of the local Greek restaurant likes me |
|
and would pour me shots all night long if I wanted. But work calls. Friday, and then the weekend; so I had to avoid a nasty hangover for tomorrow morning. I politely asked him to stop at two.
He gave me a nice, manly Greek hug when I left. B-)

5. I keep meaning to. I'm a nut on Ancient Rome, and the illustration on the label |
|
keep enticing me: 'come...come, taste me...'
But I never have. Next time I'm at the Greek restaurant, I'll order a shot.
What's it like?

6. Water. Lots and lots of water. |
|
Great way to avoid a hangover, too. If you stop drinking booze soon enough, and switch to pure H2O. A hangover is just simple dehydration couple with acute hepatotoxicity. Water goes a long way toward easing that pukey feeling.
That, rest, and time will do the trick.

Sambuca is more like licorice and less like anise. It is often served cold. Their are two kinds, clear and black. I like the black better.

had guests from Germany, lost our water to the house for a month, went to Mexico for a couple days, now catching up with ranch stuff - one of the utility companies that has a right-of-way through our state lease is exchanging some road work for some fill dirt off the private ground, so meeting up with them and checking out the work is what I've been doing the last couple days.
Its also hunting season so those people are out and about. Sometimes we get lucky with them and get a bottle of something for our "hospitality" = that is always nice.
You have reminded me that I have some yogurt and 2 cukes sitting in the fridge - if they are still good I know what I'm making tomorrow!

12. HA! It took me a minute to figure out why I'd reminded you of that. |
|
I thought: 'Hmm. I reminded her that there is some yogurt and two cukes in the fridge. Something awful kinky going on here...'
Then I remembered: Tzaziki!
Then I felt like an idiot...

|
. . . . . . . . Sidenote: What a Freudian slip THAT almost was -- when self-editing... I had to add the "b" I omitted in the word "cucumbers"!!! . . . . . .
