My dog has a new electric throw to sleep on, she is loving the heat.
She is ten years old now, her joints were getting a little stiff.

She is sleeping now, spread out.

The weather is a little chilly now.

Is this a heated blanket made for dogs?

2. No, it is a human one.

A twin blanket was to big.

I bought it at Target, other stores should have them.

It is a Sunbeam model.

3. Very thoughtful of you
Great idea for any fur baby, but especially nice for an achy one.

4. She earned it.
She hasn't been so stiff in the morning the last two days.

The throw is washable.

It is big enough for a very large dog.

5. I'm sure it's comfy, but be careful
It would be good to put a layer of sturdy fabric over it and keep it turned to low setting. When we have had our electric blanket on and someone lies on top of it, it gets quite hot underneath the person (or dog). The instructions on the label say not to lie on top of it, but it is an older blanket.

Dog's toenails might poke into the blanket, and if you had an extra layer of sturdy fabric it would protect the wires inside, also being able to wash a cover would save wear & tear on the throw.

I looked this up to make sure I wasn't being hyper careful-

Note: This Heated Pet Blanket was designed for dogs and cats to lay on, verses human heating blankets that are designed to lay under. A human heating blanket is much too hot for a pet to lay on or under, since it can reach much higher temperatures than a pet's body temperature of 102°F and may cause injury.

6. The throw is on 2, just enough heat.
I have her favorite blanket over the throw.

It is a very well built throw, it wasn't cheap.

It even has a timer.

This a expensive dog.
