I got a ping from someone interested in an item I have on Craig's List. I emailed back and said call my phone. Here's what I got back:
Thanks for the prompt response to my mail.I will be buying from you so please kindly withdraw the advert from C.LIST. Please be informed that i will be paying with a cashier check from my Bank .I will need the following details to mail the payment as soon as possible. 1.Name to be on the payment _________2.Home address__________ City_________State _________ Zip Code___________3.Cell phone #__________I will make arrangements for the pick up as soon as you have your money .I am completely satisfied with the advert and the payment will be delivered within 2-3 working days.** I use a hearing impaired phone # and will receive your calls via email ** Thanks
What do you think? LOL. Maybe I should get the check and forward it to the FBI for fraud.

1. I would not reply to that! |
|
I haven't used CL a whole hell of a lot but when I have it's been to sell items too big too ship/ebay. I just tell people to come on over and look at whatever it is and to bring cash. No checks. And the ad stays up until someone buys it.

2. The last time I used Craig's List, I eliminated any replies from free email accounts |
|
Yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc etc - just tossed them.
I was selling my old flat screen monitor. It was a good price and I had about 30 replies on it. 27 of them tossed out the window because of the email. I ended up with one from a UDel address, another from a Comcast account and one from somoene who worked for a bank. The bank guy had the best offer and sold it to him.
