1. Jurassic Plotless 4?
I'd much rather see a live-action version of Xenozoic Tales :D

3. Nope. Not a joke, but why?
I thought Jurassic Park went downhill fast after the first movie.

6. REALLY looking forward to that.
Gary Oldman is a great actor.

Also I never paid attention to the BBC series because it was mostly on when I was kid and anything on PBS that wasn't Mr Rogers or Sesame street (and later, Monty Python) was of no interest to me. But I heard a thing on NPR yesterday about the series being released along with Smiley's People and now I want to see those.

I just don't know if I should find them first or see the movie first or if it matters...

8. Yeah, I heard that too
Audio and transcript here: http://www.npr.org/2011/11/01/141682602/tinker-tailor-the-greatest-spy-story-ever-told

The BBC miniseries is regarded as the best adaptation of a le Carre novel so this film has a lot to live up to. I fear that it's too much story for a single 127 minute feature film but the reviews so far have been overwhelmingly positive (97% according to Rotten Tomatoes). I haven't seen the BBC version either and I fear that this version might pale in comparison, as good as Gary Oldman is, we're talking Sir Alec Guinness here. I intend to reread the book, then plan to see the film version and then, perhaps rent the miniseries to watch over the holidays.
