finally got to see The Walking Dead (spoilers)
Edited on Thu Nov-03-11 05:08 PM by NewJeffCT
well, this past week's episode. No power where I am in CT, so we moved to my parent's house, who had power, but no internet, tv or phone until a few hours ago.

finally watched it today - good episode, what a horrible end for Otis, though. Didn't expect Shane to do that to him. Is he going to go all Max Cady now?

should be some interesting twists coming up if they stick to the comic plot line.

Any other comments?

1. The Sophia missing/Carl shot storyline(s)
Needs to be wrapped up soon. It's really slowing the show down, imo.

2. True, that needs to be finished soon
not sure why everything seems so slow this year - the comic/graphic novel has a ton of intense things going on in the equivalent of season 2...

3. I watch the show from behind my hands -- can't stand all the gruesome
imagery, so I missed what led up to Shane shooting Otis - was Otis slowing him down? Or was it just a sacrifice so Shane could get away from the zombie horde and make it back to the truck / house with supplies?

One of the more horrifying things I've seen on TV, though. Makes me feel sick, what Shane did, and it's just a damn TV show!

4. Shane knew they couldn't make it
he was limping on a bad leg or ankle, while Otis was big & slow. So, he shot Otis in the leg to make him bait for the undead so he could escape.

7. really, one of the worst things I've ever seen.
But I have a question: will Otis now become an undead zombie? Or will he just be eaten? To become a zombie, do you have to just be bitten but not devoured? Will they chomp down all of Otis?

Horrible horrible horrible thing Shane did. Horrible.

8. If there is enough of Otis left
he'll become a zombie. However, that may be doubtful.

5. It's simply one of the best shows currently on TV

I love that it goes places that most TV shows wouldn't dare go. When the very first scene of the very first episode is a cop blowing the brains out of a little girl, you know its a show that has no fear.

6. It's a damn good show
however, I think it's off to a bit of a slow start this year.
