What kind of dumbshits are you for mounting the fucking battery terminals on the side instead of on top where they belong, thus making said car very, very difficult to jump start? May I inquire as to what brand of crack you idiots were smoking at the time? Was it the same shit you were smoking when you decided to put the seat belt reel inside the door?

|
They were a stupid idea when they brought them out back in the 80's and they're STILL a stupid idea Ford and every foreign car built uses the good old top post terminals.

But, it looks like it may not be the battery. I may need to get a new starter...
It started up fine yesterday... :(

9. It was just the battery, Yayyyy!!! |
|
Apparently, my battery was last replaced in 2003. The terminals had so much corrosion that it wasn't funny. The battery is replaced, and it's running again!

2. Yeah, both of those things seem pretty stupid. |

You would think at least one person would have seen that and said, "wait, what the fuck?" :wtf:

3. I HATE those things. When I had them, it appeared to be because there wouldn't have been... |
|
. . . ... enough clearance between the battery and hood if there had been top-mounted terminals -- the engine was jammed in there that tightly. . . .

5. The same chumps who greenlighted the Vega, Citation, and Chevette |

It saves a buck or so in part cost and an assembly line station vs. the traditional top post, but will cause owners headaches for years - therefore being perfect engineering by GM standards. Crap like this is why I did'nt wanna be Mr. Goodwrench no more......

6. So then this is the kind of shit that happens when you put MBAs in charge instead of engineers? |

I wonder how much better we would be as a nation if every MBA in the country was rounded up and shot?

An MBA is a useless degree, if only it were as worthless as it is is useless, many many things would be for the better.
Want the secret to success in business? Fire all your MBAs. All of them, maybe keep the janitor if he's got one too.

8. At least the battery is not under the back seat, like the Buick Riviera. |
