THIS is why I choose to live in Southern California.
Took this at about 7 a.m. yesterday morning. Forecast was for about 1-2" on Friday, wound up being more like 5-6". They're telling us we could get as much as 1-2' next weekend.

Yes, this is why I live here... Two weeks ago it was 70 degrees at sunset.

1. BYTM...
Better you than me. (Though in Wisconsin I'm sure we'll get more than our fair share.)

All that side, it's a beautiful picture.

2. I spent Christmas in Janesville once in the '80s. With the wind-chill the "feels like" temp was -59
In four days, I went outside ONCE, and that was to get more firewood. By the time I got back inside, I already had windburn on my cheeks.

No thanks. The coldest it gets here is in the teens, and that's not very often.

Thanks for the compliment.

Peace.

3. Snow would be great if it weren't for the cold that comes with it

5. One of the few drawbacks of the Southern Arizona climate is that I actually MISS harsh winters...
.
.
.
... but the harsh winters of Michigan/Connecticut/Germany... NOT the -59 windchill harshness.

9. hey - I grew up (at least some of the time) in Redlands; spent
a lot of time in Forest Falls.

The area is beautiful, though it has gotten so much more crowded in the 12 years since I've lived there.

:hi:
