Why can't scientist breed a cat with a seal?
Wouldn't that make a cute pet - a cat that has flippers instead of paws.

1. Seals bark hence they are dogs...
and will never allow themselves to be crossed with cats.

2. But it would be just as likely you'd get a seal that sprays and has claws.....
...and refuses to do tricks.

4. That wouldn't work....cats are great at finding their way back.
And then you'd have all these feral sealcats wiping out the song fish population.

8. We'd just cross a Walrus with a Dog - that problem would be solved
Do you not know how to think outside the box?

6. It's illegal. Killer whales will then scour the land looking for those tasty treats.

12. Do you mean the animal seal, or the kind of seal that stops up a drain pipe from leaking
or do you mean a Navy Seal. I bet a Navy Seal could breed with a cat.

14. There was work on really hard crossbreeds in the Soviet Union.
The most questionable were the simian/human crossbreeds. Those were ethically iffy.

It would be easier to cross seals with pigs. They're more closely related. Or with hippos.
