What is the background of it? What significance does it have to you? What message do you hope it will convey to others?

1. Mine's fairly self-evident.

Line 1: People seemed genuinely confused that there could be a classical liberal on DU (or in the Democratic Party.) and what that even meant. So I figured I'd spell out exactly what I believed. I think more people on DU should do just that. We don't agree on everything but we all agree on most things.

Line 2: I got tired of explaining exactly how disappointed I am in Obama.

She kept after me and told me that she half-suspected that I hsd already
signed up as there was this guy whose sense of humor was so much like mine
(I think the word "sick" was in her description... at LEAST once). When I
finally checked out the site, I liked it AND I was so flattered that she
thought my sense of humor was so much like this VERY funny guy, that my
DU username was nothing more than a riff off of his name (though it's
provided TONS of fun on its own -- I still get "you're a DUDE!?!?!?")

I hope it's OK to dare speak his name in this context, but the name of
LeftyFingerPop was transformed into MiddleFingerMom... and the rest
is mystory.

if sig line: some assholes seemed to think I would be insulted if they made fun of my background (I am a rancher) - posting things like "Moooo" and other childish shit. The person who started it had a fake "nice southern girl" persona on here, while at the same time participating in a lot of nasty shit on other websites. She was subsequently banned.

Corrientes are a type of "native" cattle related to Texas Longhorns. They are some of the most interesting, adaptable, and intelligent cattle I have ever been around. As for hyenas...well they are noisy aggressive predators.

20. Someone once posted that he didn't know why they even had the clown smiley.

And I jumped in and wrote some little nonsense tribute to the smiley, just to be ornery. Something like "Poor little smiley, only wants to make people happy." I'm always for the little guy, even when it's a smiley. :) So I vowed then to make the smiley my sig line, and it's stuck.

Whatever saying I have next to it varies. Right now it's an old one, because the last time I was active here people were whining all the time about the unrec feature.
