Give a product that should NEVER have been made...

Miller's Chocolate Beer

We had a taste test of it at work one night. It was so awful I had to take a spoon of bitter marmalade just to rid myself of the flavor.

5. Long before MY problems, I remember reading about some nationally-renowned cardiologist...
.
.
.
... who, when asked what he would have liked to have never been invented,
said "Campbell's Tomato Soup".
.
So popular and so HIGH in sodium content -- it conditions us from an early
age to crave high-sodium tastes.
.
.
One 4-oz serving has 530mg of sodium. Typical soup-bowl size = 12 oz.
.
Daily recommendation for sodium 2000 mg -- so with ONE bowl of soup,
you're 75% of the way there.
.

9. I love Campbell's tomato soup
but haven't had it in probably 20 years. Just can't justify taking blood pressure medicine and then knocking back a big bowl of sodium.

16. About the ONLY way you can justify soup is to make it yourself.
.
.
.
Even the alleged "low-sodium" varieties are so high in sodium
that I find myself compensating by reducing sodium in other
areas -- and that's not always possible.

52. Most of the canned soup is awful.
I rarely buy it. It's not that difficult to make soup anyway. One of the few exceptions I make is some of the shelf-stable boxed soups. Pacific Foods, which one finds in the "healthy/organic" sections of many grocers, has some great low-sodium soups. My particular favorite is their roasted tomato and red pepper soup. I often use it as a base for an easy Gazpacho-type soup. I will add garlic or garlic powder, chopped onions, tomatoes, cukes, bell peppers, avocados, and some feta cheese or garbanzos if I have them handy. I'll do the same with their plain ol' tomato soup, too. Imagine brand is another that puts out decent boxed soups.

One of the things I do with homemade soups is freeze a portion or two of it for another day. It's like opening a can of soup, only the soup is infinitely better--even if it sat in the freezer for way too long.

62. I have two: Pamprin and Midol.
Both are insults to women with PMS, because neither one works worth a damn. Both of those sorry excuses for medications make me want to write a sternly worded letter to the manufacturer and/or inventor, but I might just end up in jail if I did. So, I just quietly stew about it and take opportunities like these to bring up the fact that Midol and Pamprin are both condescending jokes and total insults to women in pain.

Also, they have recently changed Ovaltine. It now contains beet juice and no chocolate flavor, even though it is still listed as chocolate flavor. Beet juice in place of chocolate flavor and yet they still call it chocolate flavor? :wtf: What imbecile came up with that sick bait and switch idea? If I can count the "new recipe" Ovaltine as a product that should never have been made, it should be on the list.
