OK, I'll be Andy Rooney. Aspirin bottles.
I miss him already.
:-(

I bought a small bottle of aspirin today.
81 mg, coated, 120 pills.
It's supposed to ward off strokes, heart attacks, and such.
I take one a day on doctor's advice.
So far, it's working.
;-)

The plastic vial is 3" high.
I measured it.
Possibly I'm OCD.
Whatever.
:eyes:

There's about 3/4" of tiny tablets WAY down in the bottom of the vial.
Oh, and a 1/2" cylinder of whatever that stuff is they put in to keep it dry.
Desiccant?
Silica gel?
Whatever.

There's gotta be a better way to package this stuff.
Foil packet?
I dunno.

How much scarce petroleum is going into the gazillion aspirin bottles that are only 1/4 full of aspirin?

Multiply that by all the other pill bottles that you get that are less than 1/2 full.

Oh yeah, there was NO cotton in the bottle.
I remember Andy's segment about all that cotton in pill bottles.
We could be making shirts and sheets with all that cotton.
jeez
:eyes:

7. Actually there's a bumper cotton crop this year.
At least in south Alabama.
More fields planted in cotton than I've ever seen.
Prices are high.
Same for peanuts.

6. Andy Rooney always cracked me up.
Even when he started getting old and sounding like Homer's dad from the Simpsons he was still kind of witty in his own crazy way.

May he rest in peace.

8. There are tons products like aspirin that should be repackaged.

You are right, it is a waste of space and resources. The medicines I take cover about 1/4 of the bottles in which they come.

Off the shelf stuff seems to be even worse.
