I am not a phone talker, but I send texts to my husband and son, and I want a phone for safety reasons while traveling. I recently played with a smart phone and I got it in my head I would like one. So while watching a TV shopping program I saw a t-mobile Samsung Dart with a pay as you go plan of 45 dollars a month with no contract, for $129 you could buy the phone and have a guaranteed rate for 5 years and when you got it you could activate the contract. Since all I have is a t-mobile pay as you go plan I decided to order it to try something.

When I got it home I slipped out my present phones sim card and put it in the smart phone. It works! Now when I'm around an internet source I can call, message, use the internet for free and when I'm not on the internet I can still call or text, using my phone plan minutes! It is the best of both worlds and I will never activate the $45 plan because I don't need it.

Tonight my step son showed me a new plan that is being sold for $19 a month that does the same thing. I spend about $100 annually on the t-mobile plan, so even $19 a month is more than I pay presently.

Cool thing to consider for college kids, anyone on a budget. I'm getting ready to retire so I don't need another bill. Hope this helps someone.
