Sigh. Looks like we're passing on the house. |
|
We love it but considering the original owner ran out of cash and there's so much still undone or in need of repair, we're afraid the property is going to turn into a money pit.
So it's back to looking.

1. In general a house is a large hole in the ground into which you shovel money. |

4. To be honest, I think you're doing the right thing. |
|
From the pictures you posted yesterday, it looked like the place needed a LOT of work. And since the owner was working without plans or permits, who knows how far outside-of-code things were. I know you loved the place, but this is the right thing to do.

6. I know you're disappointed, my dear WillParkinson... |
|
I understand that too...
It would certainly turn into a money pit, and you don't need that.
Keep looking!
Your house is out there, and you will find it, I'm sure.

11. Sorry, I'm sure you're disappointed, |
|
but I expect you'll look back on this decision as a good one, down the road. Home-ownership can be very challenging, and fortunately you're aware of this challenge, early.
