LOVE The Tick - both the cartoon and the live action with Patrick Warburton. I never got into the comics but I know the writer/creator Ben Edlund went on to write one of the funniest episodes of Angel called "Smile Time" where Angel is turned into... a puppet. He also wrote a couple great Firefly episodes as well.

35. Of the given options,

Batman or maybe Green Hornet. They are willing to go after corruption, and get a little gritty. Washington is not a place for boy scouts.

Spidey is out, his skills are not so useful for what needs to happen, hes more a take on the active (preferably also superhuman) badguy smashing the city.

Supe's is too goody, believes in the system, and again, mainly useful against the superhumans on an active rampage.

Iron Man and Captain American are both tools of the system, and would end up slapping around OWS or leading the invasion of Iran rather than slowing the problems our politicians cause.

GotJ has no skills that are really applicable. Haven't a clue who gastrodude or jesus of 7-11 are. Flesh Gordon sounds like someone who would be enjoyed and appreciated by politicians with wide stances and diapers alike.

My first thought was Hulk as apparently so many others. But then we would end up buying even more military hardware from the MIC.
