6. I can laugh now but
I had a GSD do that to a door. Somehow she got herself shut in the laundry room when we weren't home. A thunderstorm started and she shred her way out so she could hide under a bed. I felt sorry for her. She had also taken out a whole window (shed), frame and all running from thunder not to mention who knows how many screens. She always heard them first and came looking for her people. If they couldn't be found under the bed she went no matter what was between her and the bed. I've since learned how much happier a dog is with a crate to relax in. Also haven't had a dog afraid storms since learning about crates.
