6. Well, the Seattle scene circa 1991 killed the Hollywood hair bands in short order.
I was living in LA at the time. A bloody mass of spandex and neon green pointy guitars strewn about the Sunset Strip. The slaughter was without mercy.

7. Yes - I was there too - Although if I remember it was an LA Band that started it
Alex, the answer is 'Who is Jane's Addiction?'

8. Yes, Jane's was the southern flank of a classic pincer movement
That caught Brittany Foxx and Enuff Z Nuff unable to formulate a proper defense no matter how many fishnet tank tops and pointless arpeggios they could muster.

9. Jane's was pre-90's.
"Nothing's Shocking" was a punch in the mouth of everyone that dug hair bands. When it came to the "start" of the Seattle scene, it was Mother Love Bone. May God rest Andrew Wood's soul.

I'm shocked that a guy who's into Bowie and the Velvet Underground would make such an ignorant statement. I'm guessing that you were making a joke. If so, well played. If not, you'd better don the flame-proof suit.
