DUBAI — A 35-year old Indian woman took her life after she was allegedly kissed by an intruder in her building, police said on Thursday.

The Operations Room of the Dubai Police received information on November 5 evening that a woman had committed suicide in a building in Frij Murrar, Deira.

The police rushed to the apartment, broke open the door as it was locked from inside and found that the woman had jumped from a window after tying the other end of a rope noose around her neck to a bed. The body was hanging outside the window, with the hands tied with a rope.

The woman’s 40-year-old husband told the police that his wife appeared sad the day before. The tearful woman told him of the alleged kissing incident. She was playing with her four-year-old child when, suddenly someone came from behind, kissed her and ran away. She did not see the man, according to the husband’s statement.

1. She hanged herself after tying her own hands?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, or the writing is unclear, but I think the report is saying that the woman's body was found hanging outside the window, and that her hands were bound with a rope. Not many people can tie their own hands is all I'm saying.

Making sure your hands are tied is pretty high on the "to do" list. Color me suspicious.
