1. The Way
but then, having walked the Camino, I'm a bit biased. :)

5. I'd like to hear about it, too... have recently been fascinated
with the pilgrimage.

Didn't know there was a movie about it - will check it out; I love Martin Sheen!

7. Are there any good books on the Way of St. James?
I'm sure there are a ton of books; would like to find one good one to read... Do you know of any? :hi:

12. There are quite a few out there
whether or not they are "good" depends upon your point of view. :)

Shirley MacLaine, Coehlo, & Happ Kerkeling, among others, have written books about their experiences. I find the MacLaine & Coelho books to be quite "out there," but other people love them. Haven't read Kerkeling's book yet, though.

The one book I did enjoy was Spanish Steps: A Man & his Ass by Tim Moore.

As for guidebooks, I prefer the ones by Brierley.

As for more information about the Camino (not just the Frances, which was shown in the movie), check out this board. Wonderful folks, loads of all kinds of information: http://www.caminodesantiago.me/board/
