I came across one of the scariest photos I had today

This was me with my wife (to be, at the time) at Boston's Logan Airport, 1981.

THIRTY FRIGGIN' YEARS AGO

Where DOES the time go?

3. My dear DFW!
Ah, that's a great photo! I'm lovin' her hair in your face, and that boombox! I used to have one of those, and I loved it...

Like you, I have no idea where the time goes.

I'm older than you, and I have more time that has gone, dammit!

:hi:

6. My wife is just as skinny now as she was then. I don't know how she does it.
I cannot make the same statement about myself, alas.

8. Some are blessed.
I look at our wedding pictures, "Who is that woman wearing a size 8?"

11. The blessings are mixed
When my wife was diagnosed with cancer ten years ago, we didn't know if she'd be around in 12 months.
She went through hell with chemo and radiation. But she had a LOT of support from me, our children and
her many friends, all of whom came to visit her often with encouragement. Luckily, Germany considers a
month of rehab at a specifically tailored spa as part of cancer treatment, and it is covered by health
insurance here. Her spa was for breast and thyroid cancer patients, so almost all of the people there
were women. She made it through, however, and I am lucky to have her back, looking 20 years younger than
she is. We do NOT recommend chemo and radiation as a beauty regimen, just for the record!

13. See your point. Watching a good friend battle cancer.
Thank goodness she made it through.

12. You know what? I can't !
A woman like that can have any guy she wants. Why she decided to stay with me, I'll never know, but
I'm not complaining. I won life's most important lottery, and I never forget it for a second.
