Orlando Calling - it's what I did this weekend

My friend scored free tix so we went not expecting much and got way more than I hoped for. Highlights were Pixies, The Roots, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, and Buddy Guy. Also fun were the Doobies and Bob Seger. Kid Rock was corny (I'm not really a fan but hey, it was free) but everyone else seemed to love him. I am sad that events conspired against me so that I missed Los Lonely Boys and the Warren Haynes Band. I would have liked to have seen Blues Traveler but they dropped out of the gig a few months back. We only stayed for a few Killers songs. I don't care for them but my wife does however she was just too tired to stay for their whole set - especially knowing we had more we wanted to see the next night.

Oh I didn't get to hear a lot of the Raconteurs because their set was cutting into my Roots set and I really wanted to see the Roots but the couple songs I did hear kicked pretty good ass. Will look up their records.
