2. We used to "hunt" snappers as kids.
.
.
.
One of the perks of being a smalltown far-suburban kid with a nearby pond.
.
.
.
That pond furnished ice skating, too... and there was a wooden shack with
an old woodstove in it. The city kept it maintained and a stockpile of wood.
As far as I know, no wood was ever stolen and none of us kids ever burned
down the "warming shack".
.
.
.
Good memories. Thanks.
.
.
.
And, though I can't IMAGINE why not... none of us kids ever lost a finger
to a snapper, though it was all catch-and-release bare-handed stuff. Our
parents would have FORBIDDEN that activity immediately.
.
.
.
And, of course... we would have respected that ban.

3. Things were never the same after a chainlink fence was installed around the pond.
Those who remember those fun days sometimes get lost looking for MiddleFingerMom...

5. I hope he wasn't climbing the fence so that he could poop in the bushes
He would definitely need a new potty place if that were the case.

The local animal rights groups could march around the pond with signs demanding that the fence be moved to give Bob his favorite potty place back.
Here are some suggestions:

"You have your favorite bathroom, so does Bob the Turtle.
Give him his bathroom back!"

"Without access to his favorite bush,
Bob can't look at his turtle porn in peace!"

"Turtles have to poop too!"
