Dragons.
Why is it dragons are evil in 99% of fiction?
Latest example, that videogame "Skyrim."
In "Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures," (latest in a series of games going back to 1998,) dragons are the heroes.

1. Well, they eat people, burn villages, destroy crops, and get mud on the carpets. |

I would think Orcs, or Goblins would be more persecuted than dragons, but you are onto something. I think there was a good dragon in that Wizards First Rule series, and I think there are a couple in that Eragon series.

6. The dragon wasn't exactly good in Wizard's First Rule... |

She was self-interested. Certainly not evil, though, and she sided with the hero after some negotiations. One of the better characters of the book, I thought.
