Why can't they just play video games like other teens?

Mine are out of school today. They have had friends in and out all day.

For a while I heard the thump thump thump of kids dribbling a basketball followed by the boingy sound the rim makes..

Then I heard sawing. And hammering. Tools being dropped...

I look out to see two bikes flipped over, wheels removed, a board being attached to the wheels, tools spread everywhere...a machete? (The "saw" I presume?)

Do I even want to know or should I wait for the Youtube video?
