OMG! Fundies and Gays fight over Stillwater, Minnesota
The legislator (Bachmann) who is pushing MN anti-gay marriage amendment hails from Stillwater, MN. Stillwater is a dolled-up, antique-store-filled river town that is popular with tourists. Some gay people are boycotting the town. They are shunning the shops, restaurants, and inns.

In response to news of the boycott, Bachmann said she is inviting everyone who supports a constitutional amendment to come to Stillwater to shop this weekend.

2. I live in Minneapolis
I hated looking at the StarTribune and seeing that 58% of my neighbors were against gay rights.

3. It's absurd! This is not a "majority rules" issue! How dumbed down has our
state become that people can't grasp that????

5. What if these creatures used the same "logic" during the 1960s;
DESEGREGATION?

Leaving it up to the people instead of the judges? Judges decide what's right. Repukes are merely twisting and spinning words for their gain.

And I wish every one of those dumbclucks was gay. Just for a month, and living in an area where they are despised.

I live near Stillwater, I regret to say, and every guy I talk to on the phone before they think I'm too quiet and scary and never call me back :cry: say they love Stillwater for its shops and scene vistas, et cetera, et cetera.

Bachmann's as much a powermongering nut as all the others in power. I know people who'd written to her campaign in 2002 in an intelligent manner. They all got poorly worded responses, complete with misspellings, amongst other things... If she's defined by her campaign staff, I can tell you by proxy what she is. But that might be considered inflammatory despite its righteousness and have my personal response here deleted. :-(

I wish SHE was gay. (but even then, she wouldn't get a clue...)
