Does anyone here watch "Queer As Folk"? |
|
If so, what do you think of it?
I wish all homophobic people would watch it because I think it would do a great deal to further the gay/lesbian cause.

2. I did when I had Showtime |

I thought it was a great show. I only saw the first two seasons so I don't know if it has kept its quality, but a few years ago, it was one of the few shows I watched. I didn't like that whiny guy though, he bugged me. Can't remember the name of his character but I guess he was the main one? The one with the eccentric mother. He was one of those people who could win the freakin' lottery and then bitch about the taxes or something stupid like that...always focusing on the gray cloud rather than the silver lining. Great acting though because I know people who are like that in real life.
I'm thinking about renting it since they have it at Blockbuster.

I think you're right about it educating people. It's not about them being gay, it's about relationships - romantic and platonic. They're living their lives with the same problems and concerns as heterosexuals. The only difference is the sex. (I think one of the all-time most romantic scenes on television was when Brian showed up at Justin's prom to dance with him.)
I can't wait until 4/18 (new season starts) :D

4. I think the character development on that show . . . |
|
has been spectacular . . . each of the characters has developed a distinct personality that really gets communicated in the performances . . . kudos to both the writers and the actors for an amazing job . . .

5. They jumped the shark after the first season |
|
It's been a yawner ever since.
I hate Ben. I kinda liked Justin's new boyfriend but he went away. Justin's getting so old he's no longer a twink.
