Turning and turning in the widening gyre

Am I the only one thinking of this lately? I'm an atheist, but these people (on both sides) all have a messianic apocalyptic vision of the future. And it's getting scary in the Middle East.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out

A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,

Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.

1. i'm a bit more optimistic

Mr. Trouble never hangs around
When he hears this mighty sound...
"Here I come to save the day!"
That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way.

He gets the situation well in hand
