Anyone else have a Dad who makes everything a pissing contest? |
|
Don't get me wrong I love my Dad and he's a great guy, but I'm in the door for like ten minutes and he's pushing my buttons.
Anyone else?

1. Actually the other way around for me... |
|
I have a habit of pushing my Dad's buttons because it's way too easy. He usually takes it in stride though.

My dad's just a real high strung guy, like if we wait more than five minutes for a bill in a restaurant he's all wired about it, what gets me the most pissed is that I used to be like him, but now I've mellowed, and I hate it cause he gets me in that mood again with his picking.

Make sure he gets his BP checked often.

4. My Dad used to drive me crazy |
|
He had to outdo you medically in everything. I would say something just innocently, like "Do you know where the asprin is? I have a headache." His answer would be something like "If your head hurts anything like my back, I feel sorry for you." Never an answer, just a comparison to how he could outdo me pain wise. Grrrr... I laugh at it now though. He died 14 years ago.

6. My 16 year old does it to me... |

Or he tries to.
It pisses him off when he doesn't succeed.
