Is there a worse poster name than BEFOREATHOUGHT at DU? |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 11:55 PM by BEFOREATHOUGHT
I originally named myself BEFOREATHOUGHT as a drunk induced goof. Now that I have been around long enough to remember the DU 1 days, hindsight is seen through red-faced vision. Who has a worse poster name than BEFOREATHOUGHT? I also seem to be the only all-capital post name. :+

1. I think mine's worse - |
|
It's dated - so noone understands it's meaning anymore. And, it doesn't suit me at all - even though it's true. (ie: proud democrat, and proud rat, circa 1972)

Schwannzeichen is a name to conjure with, a name so long It's several stanzas in a lengthy song. To walk from end to end takes a lot of hikin' You can ride all day, on the Ranch Schwannzeichen!
To write it as a kid, took me weeks to learn Before my 'A+' in penmanship I'd earn. On the other hand, I like to snicker and bounce With glee as others attempt to pronounce! :)
It's "Shh!" as in Dr. Evil's words to his son Scott Then "Wan" as in Kenobi, or how you feel when you're too hot A "sigh" of regret, or sorrow after loss, Or a "zeichen" (rhymes with lichen, a hardy type of moss).
But as for a handle, it suits me just dandy Schwannzeichen, Mark of the Swan, translated, comes in handy. But I try to say it softly, for when it's shouted out just right... Too many people answer with a heartfelt "Gesundheit!"
Schwannzeichen

Thank you. Is that a family poem that has been passed down?
In reply to the original post: I like your handle. But now that I know it doesn't really mean anything, well, uh... I see your point! LOL I thought it meant something really deep.
As for MY handle - it is one of the best. Why? Because it is time to drop some teabags in the Boston Harbor. It is past time. I will personally throw in the first bag o tea, figuratively speaking.

REP - which is pronounced "are - ee - pee" - are my initials, not my political affiliation. I'm REP in real life as well, and didn't consider that it could be misconstrued as a word ("rep") or party.
