Does anybody know anything about Cayuga grapes? |
|
Gurney's ran out of Edelweiss grape vines so they sent us a Cayuga instead. I don't know anything about the Cayuga grape, but apparently it's a wine grape rather than a table grape. We wanted a table grape. So does anybody know if Cayuga grapes are good for eating?

1. Never even heard of them! |

But since you're posting how's our little baby doing? (Sorry forgot the name) Are you doing the grape thing to help with the breastfeeding (Thought I recalled grapes on my nieces list of foods that help)

2. Owen is super, thanks for asking. |

I just like grapes. We won't have any until summer 2005, and I can GUARANTEE that we will not be breastfeeding anymore by then. :)

You have vines? or you mean in your local market?
BTW if you like supersweet table grapes, my neighbor has wonderful vines from Germany...very sweet muscadet type grapes...I'd GLADLY mail you some when they mature..I juice them.

Sorry, I probably could have mentioned that in my first post. I blame the baby for keeping me up all night.
Edit--I unblame the baby, because I did mention the vine thing in my first post. . .

. . . Kidding! but I got your attention! Grapes, Cayuga
Sweet, tasty grapes ideal for fresh eating. It's a good thing the vines are so productive--you'll have trouble getting enough!

8. I've got a question about growing grapes |
|
I've considered doing it, but when I read the instructions it seems there's always some complicated process for getting the vines to grow right. Do you know anything about this? Have you ever done it? Is it as complicated as it sounds, or did I just get confused and made it more complicated in my mind?
