I am about to go and see it this afternoon with a friend. I have heard many good things about it. I would love to get a DUers review on this movie if you have seen it.

Both as a look at the changes that came about in the DDR after the wall fell as well the endless ability of human beings to delude themselves.

I guess many of the jokes are impossible to translate, as they play with east-German products and specialties. I'm considering watching it stateside, as the campus cinema is playing it - just to see the audience's reaction.
It is one of the best German movies in the last years and won all important European awards (And was IMHO robbed at the Oscars). However some jokes and twists will need a good understanding of (east-)German culture.
