Ideas for local activism in rural areas

Citizens for Political Reform just met, and we're planning to put in a series of ads in our weekly county newspaper, just above the classifieds. We plan to have different members write LTTEs to go with the themes, because in our neck of the woods, the two parts of the paper everyone reads are the ads and the LTTEs. The cost should be around $200, which includes a larger ad for the week before the election.

Here's what our ads will say. We tried to tailor them to the region and the audience that will read them:

2. Save Jobs-Vote for a Living Wage-Stop Outsourcing. Vote Kerry/Edwards.
