Check out my dad's song
He wrote this years ago. He said he drew his inspiration from powerful figures in history both good and bad. There's a reason he dug this thing up recently. It has some great guitar too.

Here's the MP3: One Man's Words

Lyrics:
How could it happen One man's words
Take the lives of so many

How could it happen One man's words
Ask us to Imagine and be silenced

Chourus:
One man's words could make it happen
So listen closely my friends
I said one man's words made it happen before
You know we can't let it happen again

How could it happen one man's words
Take us to the moon and be taken

How could it happen one man's words
Free a nation, and be hated.

How could it happen one man's words
Send men to war and forget them

How could it happen one man's words
Sound so true yet be lies

1. WOW!
That is much better than I expected! Very nicely done, has a unique but very pleasant style and hey, he rocks.

Good lyrics, he's said a mouthful.

4. Well, I'm trying to think of exactly when it was written
I think somewhere around 1990, but I could be wrong. I'll have to call him and ask. He's been heavily influenced by so many different people. CSN&Y, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Allman Bros., Clapton, and tons of others. I've always considered him a cross between Tom Petty, Neil Young, and Steve Earle.

He's a one man operation. Does all the stuff in his home studio.

5. Good call
That was what i heard, Landing on Water-ish era Neil, Some Floyd, some Allman Bros for the feel and a Earle sounding voice. Very nice.

Tell him I liked it!

3. How could it happen One man's word<<
One man's words carry alot of weight when they are speaking for corporations tied to the wh and Congress. A puppet can yank back on his strings but the puppeteer always has the upper hand.... too bad this one doesn't even have the presence of mind to yank back once in awhile.. sad, sad so very sad that this is what has come to represent guidance and leadership in America.... this is not the country we grew up in... this has become the country we can't believe in.
