A focused boycott aimed at Fla.- Boycott Fla. orange juice and Disneyworld

Please use your purchasing power to send a message to the corporate facsists that stole our government. One means of doing this is to conduct a nationwide focused boycott on Florida orange juice and Disney (part of aol-timewarner media disinformation conglomeration).

6. My thought is that this is and should be a part of a very multipronged

effort to restore true democracy acroos this nation. I am not saying that just florida is the problem. We all know that is not the case.

Whatever it takes to draw attention and both political AND economic pressure we should resolve to do.

solution. Still, we have to start somewhere. Further, when the hicks voted in this religious nut, I don't think they considered how negatively their choice would affect others.

In a struggle, we really have to make sacrifices.

We'd be closer to perfect with a network of progressives to support, rather than focusing on red and blue states.

Every red state has pockets of blue and every blue state has pockets of red.

Focus on the progressive businesses - not the states they are in.

4. Ugh ...

In exactly 11 days I will be standing in Disneyland.

This one I have to suck up and do. My folks just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They are taking my whole family to Disneyworld. They are doing this because they want to experience Disney with my kids before it is too late. I am humbled.

This trip has been in the making for a long time. There is nothing that I can do but relax and enjoy it.

Dh and I really wanted to travel to Disneyworld in 2005. Right now those plans are on hold, maybe indefinitely. We refuse to support the economy of a state that put * back in office.

WOAH, you are not only hurting what you think are red business you are going to be hurting MANY democrats.

When Disney looses business are you going to make sure that they only lay off Republicans? When the citrus industry colapses are you going to make sure only the republican growers and markets are hurt?

I live in FL, after the hurricanes our economic structure has gone to hell, the last thing we need are Democrats leading unfounded boycotts.

You know Disney has a Gay pride day, I think they should be admired for that not boycotted.

I checked it out. Looks like Disney gives more to the Dems. I've been to the park here in SoCal during their gay days--it's a cool gesture.I just wish so many small minded people didn't say cruel things to some of the gay couples. I've heard a few stories that made me very angry and sad.

Maybe I can still go to Disneyworld! Whoo hooo! At the very least Disney cruise line...

I agree that what is said to the Gay couples is just wrong and hateful. But Disney cannot very well control what the RW idiots say. I'm just glad that they haven't caved to pressure from the religious right and gotten rid of it.
