Senator Boxer Rally Today
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 03:18 PM by grumpy old fart
Any news on the rally scheduled for today to draft Senator Boxer to contest the vote on the 6th?

Concerned citizens and civic organizations will present thousands of voter petitions to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif) at her San Francisco office during a public press conference and rally on Monday, January 3, 12 noon. They will urge Boxer to challenge the results of the 2004 presidential election at a joint session on January 6, 2005, when Congress meets to ratify the vote. Key organization leaders will personally present the petitions to Boxer's deputy at a meeting inside her office. Rev. Jesse Jackson will also lead a rally that day to challenge the vote in Columbus, Ohio

2. Just got back across the Golden Gate bridge.....
We are returning home from the rally now, stopped at a friend's place in Marin County.

Turnout was probably about three hundred people. Lots of great signs and several good speakers. A little chanting to support the group that was headed in to present the petitions to Boxer.

I saw a Democratic Underground sticker on a sign, and intended to find out who it was when the speakers were done, but went to feed my parking meter and lost track of them.

I took a lot of photos, but can't post any till I get to my home computer with the Nikon upload software.
