BOLTON Recess Appointment - CONTACT your Senator & Congressman |
|
There will probably be dozens of action groups and petitions circulated and we should sign and or support them all. However contacting your Representatives individually is as, if not more important.
My note below:
Bush Appoints Bolton, Bypassing Senate
Outrageous!!!
I will not detail the issues here as I'm sure you are aware of them.
I'm done with any of you who will not stand up to this administration and protect the best interest of the American people.

1. Just out of curiosity -- what do you expect your Rep to do |
|
about a perfectly legal maneuver to install someone in office?
A president can, according to the Constitution, appoint whoever he damn well pleases via recess appointment, and that appointment will be good until the next Congress convenes. There is nothing -- zilch, zero, nada -- a Senator or Representative can do about it.
If your Senator held firm against Bolton during the term, he or she did all that could be done.

2. I expect them to take notice... Of course I could do nothing, say nothing |
|
voice no exception to this appointment of an incredibly inappropriate person to represent the US to the world but that's not my style.
We need to be vocal whether they can do anything or not. They need to know we are watching... I know for sure that they know the RW is watching and the RW has had the loudest voice for years.
In the end it's worth it to me to spend the 5 minutes it take to voice my opinion.

I notice there are some DU'ers who like to discourage rather then encourage! It doesn't take much, with the scandal we see on a daily basis, to just give up and feel hopeless! That is what this evil administration wants us to feel. We are being scandled to death! It can't be good for us mentally. We have to keep fighting! Nothing is a bad idea!
